This refers to making the lj-imglayout tag from http://www.livejournal.com/manage/emailpost.bml?mode=help&type=images available from the entry editor. When you post by email with lj-imglayout:horizontal, it makes a table and uses that to put all of your pictures in one row.

Which doesn't wrap to the line below, so that it's clear - the table stretches the width of the page.

Indeed; the way to do images on the same line as space allows and wrap them is simply to put spaces between the
