Revamp the memories section to look/work more like the Messages Inbox.

That would be really cool, even if I don't use the memories much. Maybe I'd start.

The memories sections is one of the areas which most users still don't use much - definite issues in usability IMO

I used to use it a lot, but gave up after a while, for usability issues. Tags work pretty well for me these days.

There are a lot of ideas for general improvements to memories management out there, but this one has a specific user interface idea, into which some of the other improvements could be either rolled, or made completely obsolete!

A revamp modelled after the Messages/Inbox interface would be especiall good when it comes to usability since people are pretty comfortable with the Inbox and that familiarity would tranfer to the memories too.

And yes, bulk editing, moving, renaming, deletion - those could be added in/made easier :)

I made a suggestion that was similar to this in some ways a few months ago - as yet I've heard nothing, not whether it has been rejected or put forward for possible consideration *sigh*

Something needs doing about memories. Bulk editing, bulk moving, bulk renaming is definitely needed.

So anything to my mind that improves what we have.

IMO it wasn't just one part of memories that needs changing but everything - the entire interface needs to be rethought. A new feature that people have warmed up to is the inbox, so if we have a memories link added to the right of the Messages link, and have it modelled in a similar manner, it would fit right into the site system :)

It would feel more like a cross between e-mail management and del.icio.us and much easier to work with than the current system.

This would be great. I love the memories and use them frequently, but they're such an antiquated bear to work with.
