but in a "first" for Suggestions, I'm going to start allowing a few of these ancient suggestions to come back up to the surface, as they may be more feasible in 2007 than they were in 2002.

Yay!

Oh, I like this "first" initiative! :)

Would this suggestion enjoy the same fate if it were re-suggested, or does the fact that it's been allegedly "submitted for implementation consideration" mean it's forever stuck in we're-gonna-do-it-Real-Soon-Now,-really limbo?

I have no idea what exactly the changes in the search feature announced in the plans for 2007 entail, but resubmitting it might be a good way to get it considered. Disclaimer: I'm not coffeechica.

I'm for this. While I'm not sure I might make use of this, I know several who would.

I'd be interested in this if there were some way to "compact" interests a bit on the " non-full version" of the profile - maybe only show the first 50-100 or so; my 146 interests already take up nearly a full screen, and allowing more would be visually annoying to me.

On the full version of the profile, all interests should display, especially if we're only talking about a minimal cap increase to 200-250. More than that and then I'd want to rethink displaying all interests even on the full profile.

More interests would indeed mean more clutter. But, if it's clutter the user wants, why not?

I like the idea of making it a benefit of paid accounts.
