I kind of like the idea of implementing this as a staggered thing - plus gets more than basic, paid gets more than plus. Of course, it would also bring out the people who want to exchange their unused interest slots for userpics... ;)

I'd support this.

Yeah, it makes the profile page larger, but having hundreds of friends or screens and screens of bio HTML is nothing compared to adding more interests.

I'm for this idea.
Keep a limit so it doesn't get out of control but it would be nice if it were lifted (even if only for paid accounts). It is surprising how quickly 150 interests is reached.
