I think it should be possible to at least mass-change the security of entries with custom security TO Public, Friends-only, or Private. Or at least mass-changing them to Private, which might be simplest, since de-selecting all available custom security groups from an entry effectively makes it Private.

The other way around, Public/Friends-only/Private TO a custom security level might be a different story. I'm not sure how the database stores these, so it might be trickier to implement this direction for it.

(Sorry if I'm not making any sense.)

Mostly in agreement, except for the custom friends group thing: iirc they can't be edited through the tool, but I'm not sure why. The date thing is also a good idea.

Great idea. I'd love to be able to change the privacy level of a bunch of entries by tag.
