I say go, you only live once, you have the money now, go experience it, yeah you like france here, but have you been there?
you never know, get fluent in french then go do engineering in france ;)

what will you do when the money runs out in france? stay there and work or come back home and work?

have you thought about finding a teaching english in france job or something (that will help you develop your french while capitalising on the fact that you speak english)
