Love the idea of Clark coming to Lex's door with flowers. Just so Clark. Hee.

He debates. Roses seem so... ordinary for a date, but daisies are too plain, tulips remind him of his mother, and orchids are a flower he associates with prom.

So, roses. Because ordinary or not, they're a flower that represents dignity and beauty, traits they have in common with Lex.

Once he's picked the flower type, however, he's further stymied by the florist's question of, "What color?"
