1) In 2006, I started one of my favorite classes ever, "The Physics of Science Fiction"
2) When I was 9-16 (a long time ago and a long time), I had a crush on a boy whose birthday was in January.

5) Typically, this is the month I am most relaxed. In the past, because it's the beginning of the semester, slow season at work.

1) Traditionally the coldest month
2) W2s arrive and are available as the harbinger of tax season. (Money, good. Paperwork, bad. And typically late. >_<) (Also, January 1863 saw the first income tax in the US.)
3) We get more snow in January (and February) back home than in other months, including at Christmas time (for several years, a "White Christmas" was a myth.

2. My family went to Disney World for my 16th b-day.
3. I was in Kenya for my 11th - I saw my first solar eclipse, my first wild giraffe (my favorite wild animal back then and on my actual b-day, too), and got stuck in an elevator.

(I'm half tempted to do April all by myself. It's my mother's birthday month, plus April Fools Day. April showers brings... may flowers. ^__^
You can leave it at eight or come back with more. Ten was a random number. I originally (before I did January myself and realized, no, that wouldn't work) was going to ask for 5 positive, 5 negative things. Ha.

2. Green things popping out of the ground everywhere. Er, that sounded dirty. ;p Plants enthusiastically growing, flowers starting to open.
