Oh, MAN, you should have seen that guy on the program. It was like a cross between Darth Vader and the pantomime horse from Monty Python. And there are people who are *turned on* by this!

*ahem* OK, maybe I'm a _little_ judgmental. *hangs head* I can't help it. He just looked too funny.

Well....

I'm afraid if you are then I am too.

Some things are just beyond understanding by the rest of us, I guess.

But then I imagine that there are some things that get to us that others can't understand. Not that I can think of any off the top of my head.... lol!

But have you seen the fic in my icon?? :D

I am all about everyone being able to express their love of Frodo and Tolkien in which ever way stokes their creative fire. Frodo/Sam slash does absolutely nothing for me, personally, but I adore the fact that people write it and that other people get to enjoy it.

There is quite a market for er...mpreg.

I have written fan fic in every possible genre probably -- canon gen, AU gen, slash, mpreg, wing fic. And for me, I just love stretching the characters and the stories and possibilities. I see Tolkien's world as a playground that I am so grateful to have. And yet I keep those fantasical vision of Frodos (such as pregnant Frodo and winged Frodo) TOTALLY separate from how I perceive Tolkien's Frodo (which I keep on a much loftier and respectful level, if that makes any sense!)

I think there's a place in this lovely, comforting, friendly community for all kinds of Frodos and I'm glad we have such a supportive, friendly community with which to share him! :-)

Keeping it separate...that's the key. That's how I'm able to read any slash, despite not believing for one second that Tolkien ever intended for any of the relationships between his male characters to be read "that way ( ... )
