Keeping it separate...that's the key. That's how I'm able to read any slash, despite not believing for one second that Tolkien ever intended for any of the relationships between his male characters to be read "that way".
I actually used to be rather anti-slash, in fact, I'll admit. But I got over that "hump" (heh) just because I was so hungry for *anything* Frodo. And it seemed at first (when I first got into LOTR fanfic) that slash was all anyone was writing, so I went with the flow and ended up getting kind of used to it. Then it got, well, enjoyable.
Mpreg and wing...just not my cuppa. No offense. And it's not like I haven't given it a chance.
I'm glad that not everyone shares my limitations. Just so long as *I'm* not judged either for not liking everything that everyone does.
BTW, I've read and enjoyed a lot of your stuff. And normally Frodo/anyone bigger is hard for me to get through...due to logistics, plus a piece of artwork I once saw that squicked me to the core. But please don't mind me. Keep on doing what you love; that's what we're all here for. :-)
