The long goodbye.... when your TV show calls it a day.

Today they announced that this, the ninth, season of The Office will be its last. Over the next eight months I'll be saying goodbye to a show that I have loved quietly, though just as deeply as those I've loudly fangirled over.

I was introduced to this series in season 2 by LJ friends juteux and wordsalone and have been a devoted fan ever since. I've seen OTPs

Oh, I know how you feel. Every series I love like Friday Night Lights. Long goodbyes. I say them to people in my life, too.

Being 70 is like that, you know. Bittersweet.

I have to admit though that I did prefer the British version, never really got into the U.S. version.

I'm sorry you're losing a loved show. I felt that way with Buffy, then QAF... It's always sad to see them go.

On another note... saw Randy in Silence! the Musical last week. Was an absolutely hilarious performance by everyone! I laughed so hard I was crying.

(On the downside, haven't had much time for writing)
