ff in a universe that rewrites itself so often nothing and everything is canon
Doctor Who fic must have copious amounts of the same sort of problem, I'd imagine ("time can be rewritten" was even a major theme for pretty much all of last season).
I'd think so, but I find that the bulk of the who ff I've encountered had been entirely free of the smoochin' (which I quite enjoy) or cloyingly saccharine about it (which is usually poorly written and painful).
I was reading the above, and had to re-read that line about seven times. I swear it said Bat Calypso Psychologist. Not sure what that would be, but I'll bet it would fit in some of those stories.
I held the door for a man in Alabama. He said thank you. I ALMOST said, "Don't thank me, thank BATMAN!" but fortunately restrained myself just in time.
ff is more fun, but crunchy carpets and two foot stacks of dirty dishes are unpleasant. It a matter, I suppose, of finding the balance. Which is awful.
