*looks around, uneasily*

So, I should be studying more. But I just pulled a 10-hour stint of it - well, with an hour for lunch/walk - and I needed a break.

Here's a drabble that I wrote for the Labyfic community.

That (the review, not the drabble!)...is weird, honestly. Is there any way to trace it? I don't know what sort of tracking, if any, ff.net has. A quick googling of your Interwebs ID doesn't turn up your real name, and a googling of the Interwebs ID with real name doesn't give me anything--perhaps it's a friend who knows both and spaced out on the importance of Not Identifying One With The Other?

Also, I am laughing at the review from the person who only now started the story in question, and is yelling at you for contributing to Cliffhanger-Related Trauma. Ha!

Re: the review

I guess it depends on how unusual your name is, but that would give me the heebie-jeebies, too. :-/

I know from firsthand experience that there are a lot of creepy people with dubious social skills out there. Someone could be just screwing around with you or trying to be clever. Not a bad idea to be a little cautious for the near future, though.

Love the drabble. Strange about that review. I would try to track the IP, if I could, to find out the geographical location of the anon reviewer...yeah, it would freak me out a bit if someone reviewed my fic and mentioned me by name, too. I don't think you're being paranoid, especially because you haven't included such info (or any other identifying info) in your LJ or FF profiles.

Unless you have a highly unusual name (as I do. I have only found about 13 people in the world with my name during my lifetime so far, and that's for the past 42 years) or they have the same first, (possibly) middle, and last name, I wouldn't worry about it.

What is in a name? Isn't a rose by any other name still smelleth as sweet? (Now, I wonder who wrote that? I can't be so clever.)

So, in the end, you're being a tad paranoid, but don't worry--they have drugs for that these days!
