Yang's Fry-Dumpling

Holy yumfuck. I love Yang's Fry-Dumpling in Shanghai. I can eat 10 of these in one sitting and still want more. Yang's is more street vendor than restaurant; you pay first and then grab your food. Topped with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, the fried pork and soup dumplings are fried golden-brown so there's a crunchy bite to it. Splash a little ( Read more... )

Omg no, I'm the same way - I stick with variations of the foods I know, and if it's totally new/foreign, I hesitate big time. But dumplings can be really, really good, I don't think I've ever ate a bad dumpling! :D
