GOD, it's SO TRUE, so true that Luke could speak the truth to Andy about Sam. I loved Luke in this, being how he usually is and telling Sam that he's a special kind of idiot. Luke only wants Andy to be happy and he knows Sam is that guy to be a part of her happiness.
Stubborn, asshole Sam is fun to read and pick apart. Cuz we all know inside that exterior, there's something softer and it's the real him.
I lean towards that version of Sarah too (but really I have no idea what we're gonna get when/if the writers introduce her).

Not late- there are 12 days of Christmas...
OMG, I judged snorted for reals when I pictured Peckstein vacuuming curtains. I was going to have Sam catching Holly and Gail making out but that would have turned into a different kind of fic....
Sam - the King of Repression and self-deprecating behavior. He is teachable though, right?

Premise is spot on - Sam finding some kind of way to get out of the hospital early (using Christmas even if he doesn't celebrate it) and then despising every second of being taken care of. I really think that will be a true challenge for him.
Too funny that he thinks he should have been more of an asshole - you're loveable Sam, own it! (Pssst what is DB?)
And him shouldering guilt over his sister coming to see him to make sure he's okay - of course he would! No doubt about it. - 'unintentionally hurting the women he loves' - oh Sammy.
Two that brought great relief and one that he guesses he's relieved about the other...Pretty sure I know the three but still puzzling out where they all fit.
I go back and forth between thinking Sam will push her away or pull her in close and never want to let her go. I could seriously see either one actually. Looking forward to the epiphany though!

What Sam wants and what he really does are always so far apart, aren't they? He is so loveable, but has no idea he is, which makes us love him even more. Guilt should be his middle name (maybe it actually is).
