It's interesting, but I dunno, I could never give up sugar 100% . . . mostly because I could never give up alcohol 100%. Developing diabetes has been a growing fear of mine these past few years though. But I could never, ever undertake any sort of extreme diet, like cutting out sugar would be for me.

I'm not much of tea drinker either, not without sugar. I wish I wasn't so damn picky - it basically kills any chance I have of properly dieting. I just don't like vegetables dammit.

They used to be my life when I was a teenager - when the average price of tickets was $20. Damn that makes me feel old lol. These days I just can't afford that many. ;(

They were both pretty good live! Florence more so though. 8D

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad my parents weren't strict about a lot of things (like my social life lol), but damn I wish they had been with food. :/

So I was going to go into this long story but then I realized that nobody cares. So, tl;dr version - I know how you feel. my parents weren't quite as.. "bad" as yours were but definitely instilled the seeds of my food issues as well. luckily I excercise obsessively so I'm.. getting by.

Anyway congratulations on going about it in a healthy and sane manner. I know you can do it! If ever want any help or support please feel free to ask.

aww I care! lol

I just wish it were easier. Why can't I just like healthy food and exercise? But yes, I am sane enough to know there is no easy way.

lol I was just gonna get into the whole parents thing. Mine weren't as bad as yours, my mom rarely took us for fast food. but she was an awesome cook and she would cook for like 10 people rather than the 5 of us. She'd foist her unfinished food on me, I'd have to eat fast if I wanted more or else my bros would get it, and I was taught to always clean my plate and use food as a reward and comfort ( ... )
