Am back, after a rather hedonistic foray into London’s delights with my cousin who, after a six year estrangement, I discover to be both a crack and smack-head, neither of which I particularly approve of. We went out to a bar called Filthy MacNasty’s at which I was offered heroin, ecstasy and cocaine in the space of ten minutes. I also apparently ( Read more... )

What? But. But. But. No!

Well written, yeah. Powerful, absolutely. Also MEAN and totally uncalled for. To make it all the worse - I am in the process of rereading Tempus Fugit. *sigh* I'm off to sulk now.

Thank you! Sorry the ficlets got off to such a dismal start! But this is AU, I promise, and TF doesn't really turn out like this because if this was TF canon I would have to check myself into some mental institution or other.

No! Oh god, my heart is broken. Don't do that! But they remembered everything, so it's fine. It's fine. Hearts and flowers. Everyone's happy. **hyperventilates**

I do not do well with unhappy endings. Still, well written.

I'm sorry to be breaking hearts! I actually don't know what inspired me to write this little happy-fest but I'm glad you thought it was well-written. I promise the next one will be more cheerful!

Hmm, am forced to make similar noises of disbelief, whilst clutching at my heart asthmatically. So glad it's AU! That makes it a little bit better... then I can still pretend that TF is the real world. :) Nicely written, though! Poor Harry - alone, poor, and no Draco. :(

Well, I was excited to see a new TF ficlet from you, but I was disappointed it was so sad. I wanted more of Harry and Draco together. Despite what I was expecting, I can state with confidence that it is excellently written, the details make the story and I could almost see hope--until the last line.

Thank you! You've reviewed for practically everything I've ever uploaded so I'm sorry to disappoint you! I hope you'll enjoy the next one more, for there is happiness and slash and then some more slash and it was much more fun to write.

You cannot please everyone all the time. It's not like I will never read your writing again because I do enjoy the stories you craft.

I also appreciate that you reply to my comments. It makes me feel appreciated as a reviewer so thank you!

I'm basically restating popular opinion, but... anyotherknight February 25 2005, 00:25:18 UTC
Very powerful ficlet, your imagery is daunting. I love your ability to sum up your entire meaning in a simple, lethal sentence:
He shrugged. He had never liked Malfoy much anyway.
Okay, yes, that's two sentences -- but the meaning is unchanged. Few people grasp the way Harry recedes in grief, too eager to turn to capslocked explosions over weary apathy. The way you twisted TF and changed the outcome (the outcome would have to be significantly different in order for that to come about) was masterful. A significant downer, yes, but I'll just reread 'Of Sodomy and Psychoanalysis' to cheer myself.

...I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one to convince a cousin of his attraction to Jude Law.

Thank you very much for reviewing! I really appreciate it and your comments are very kind. Ack, alas, I went through the phase of capslock!Harry and he shouted at everyone and behaved like a prima donna and I got ashamed and hid it from the world under a big rock.

Next ficlet will be significantly more cheerful and I promise that this was not TF canon!

All cousins love Jude Law. 'Tis a truth universally acknowledged, 'tis.
