What I'm wearing: new clothes

Jan 12, 2012 13:05

I recently discovered Seasalt, thanks to a fabulous charity shop find by fiendish_cat. They don't have a huge range but I really like what they do have. I ordered a pink summer skirt, pink and green summer blouses, a stripey sweatshirt and a spotty babycord skirt in the sale. It all arrived this morning and I instantly fell in love. Oh lovely :) I particularly like the blouses and the babycord skirt - in fact I'd be tempted by the skirt in the clematis smoke design but their size chart suggests what they have left in stock might be a bit on the big side for me. I alos rather like the Rosie dress looking around the rest of the site.

I'm wearing my new Monsoon skirt which is purple, orange, black and tan tartan with purple tights and an orange top and feeling very colourful :)

Sounds gorgeous! Their clothes are cut quite generously, I think, so if it sounds big it probably is.

Thanks :) It's slightly marred by the fact that I'm wearing one of the Boy's old black cardies over it, which goes round me 1 1/2 times. I really must buy one that actually fits me!

Very nice. I rather like this jumper, but I am not sure that it's justifiable (is it at all wearable after april, do you think?).

I quite fancy this cardigan from Saltwater, but I'm not sure when I'd ever wear it.

I liked that jumper too, but it's sold out in my size. I think it's probably quite warm, but wearable after April on a windy beach.

The cardigan is gorgeous. I am supposed to be knitting something similar. Must drag it out of the cupboard and get back to work on it.

I think that what I really need is the cotton version, possibly in a slightly more summary colour. I don't know. I complain I haven't enough casual clothes and then I don't buy them, or I buy them too smart. But honestly, I don't think I'd wear that jumper much in winter, because it's the wrong palate, and anyway I want a wool jumper with snowflakes on it*, so I'd probably better leave it. I don't know. I'll sleep on it.

*Or a Fair Isle, but proper FI is expensive, and I haven't found any imitations I've liked.

Oh that was a truly bargainous skirt, I'm so pleased you liked it and it has helped you find other lovely things. (Did the skirt actually fit btw?)

I do like Seasalt (and my sister's boyfriend is their current male model!).
