I started writing a post the other day about favourite outfits, then abruptly realised I could no longer say what my favourite outfit actually was. This is chiefly because I've spent the last couple of months buying up cardigans and tops in lots of colours that really suit me, and acquiring some excellent pairs of trousers. I haven't spent a ( Read more... )

I've got an awesome wool/lycra blend suit that is both enormously comfortable and looks pretty good on me.... oh, wait, I'm not female, that probably doesn't apply.

I was, however, wondering if you're able to add me on to having posting privileges? I have a rant about female swimsuits (it's not what you think!) that I need to post here.

As far as I know, you're entitled to post. Do it! :)

Why wouldn't your suit count? It sounds great. Colour?

Hmm, well the community name isn't displayed where I choose which journal to post to.

Suit's a blue-grey, but the sort of grey which you only realise is blue when you try to wear it with black (which I made the mistake of doing once - oops), with an absolutely outrageous bright orange liner, which thankfully you can't see while it's on. But really, the best thing about it is the material, because it looks so professional and, because of the blend, it's pretty tough to wrinkle.

Suit sounds fabulous (and I love the idea of orange lining, obviously).

As for the posting, try again now.

I rather enjoyed last summer's black linen trouser/chocolate scoop neck vest/pale grey drapy stretchy cardi combo, worn with a pair of (I kid you not) grey knitted clogs. I felt unusually co-ordinated.

Alas, the trousers died young - but I may get round to replacing them one day...

That sounds great - particularly the clogs! (where did they come from?)

H&M do some very good linen trousers.

Ooo - may go shopping this evening.

The clogs were the result of a trip to America, and I adore them despite their tendency to reduce me to a blistered, hobbling wreck - stupid shoes ftw!

The flippant answer would be 'pyjamas'. I love my PJs; they're easily the most comfortable thing I own, and the only person who sees them on a regular basis seems to think I look cute in them ( ... )

Cool! I love the variety :)

I would love to be able to do the A-line tweed skirt and boots thing. It's just not really me, but it's a look I greatly admire :)

My absolute favourite outfit is my posh evening wear outfit which makes me look awesome - it's a deep red skirt with a fishtail-type thing at the back, worn with a black strapless bodice top, and my comfy yet stylish black kitten heels (a tenner from Asda, best shoe purchase evah). My plan is to save up and buy a proper black corset/bodice with proper boning in, but that has to wait until I can afford to get somethingmade to fit, I think.

Sadly I spilled coffee down the skirt last time I got pissed and it needs to go to the dry cleaners.
