I started writing a post the other day about favourite outfits, then abruptly realised I could no longer say what my favourite outfit actually was. This is chiefly because I've spent the last couple of months buying up cardigans and tops in lots of colours that really suit me, and acquiring some excellent pairs of trousers. I haven't spent a fortune - it's mostly all come from the sales or ridiculously cheap places like Primark. Consequently, I'm still at that rather delightful stage of thinking "ooh, which things shall I wear today?".

There's also the issue of what constitutes a favourite outfit. Is it the outfit you wear most often, because you love it and it's comfortable, or is it the outfit you wear only rarely, but which makes you feel like a million dollars? I'm not much for dressing up, but I do believe in things that are comfortable and look good.

Hmm, OK. I'm going to go out on a limb and pick an outfit that I haven't had an opportunity to wear yet, because the weather's been so lousy. Palest grey straight-leg sailor trousers (quite low-cut - they sit just above my hips), apple-green scoop-neck sweater with a pale grey vest underneath. No shoes (I'm still working on the shoes! I rather fancy a pair of wedge-heeled espadrilles but haven't seen anything I liked enough to buy).

Yours?

stylishly yours, clothes, shoes
