Monster BEAST Fashion Post!
I've been working on this fashion post off and on for a while. I was going to post it when BEAST won their Newcomer Award, but I kept putting it off. Some significant milestones have passed since then, so I figure that it's about time I got this done!
So, I can't be the only one interested in what BEAST wears, right? Maybe you want to buy something for yourself or for a loved one :D
Please note that I tried to put up links to places where you can still purchase these items wherever possible. I also put up links to the item(s) even if they are sold out, just in case you want to contact the manufacturer or online store to see if they have any more in stock. Since I live in the US, I mainly linked to US-based online stores, however, many of these stores do ship overseas at an additional cost.
Please also note that many of these items have long since sold out! The items from exclusive designer lines and labels are hard to find now. They may be available in select shops (particularly in Korea and Japan), but otherwise, your best bet is to look for them on ebay, rakuten, etc. I did my best to at least identify the brands and, wherever possible, I've listed the actual name/id of the item for your reference. If I couldn't find the item online, I labeled it as "SOLD OUT," but that may be inaccurate. Please utilize your Google-fu if you want to dig deeper.

What happened to Doojoon's hand-me-down backpack? Looks like Maknae is moving on up! He's upgraded to the same bag that Junhyung has.
Has anyone noticed that our maknae is wearing a lot of dark/neutral-colors lately? Most of his gear is simple, classy, and not covered with crazy designs (the opposite of Hyunseung, lol). For the most part, his stuff is unbranded or the logos aren't apparent. So, for these reasons, my Dongwoon fashion section is rather short. But, wow, maknae is growing up!

So, in conclusion, BEAST seems to favor quality over quantity :D They frequently wear the same items, which I think is great because it shows that they're picky about what they wear. You might wonder how they can afford all this stuff since their company probably gets most of the profit from their music sales. Well, I came up with some theories:
☞ They probably get a clothing allowance from CUBE, so they buy some items on their own. Like me, my boy Junhyung enjoys his internet shopping! Also, please note that the prices of these items may differ from what the boys actually paid for them. For ex., Rockers NYC items are much more expensive in Asia than in the states. Also, before you freak out over them paying $80 on a T-shirt, please keep in mind that they may be buying their stuff from stores or online shops that sell used clothing. There are numerous webshops that specialize in used clothing in Korea and Japan. The boys are making some bank right now, but I don't think they're exactly raking in the dough just yet :D
☞ CUBE probably has several long-standing relationships with some clothing companies and/or select shops in Korea and Japan that either lend/give out certain pieces or sell them at discounted prices. The clothing companies and select shops get free publicity by letting BEAST and other idol groups wear their items. I think many of their clothes are gifts or comped items from these clothing companies, select shops, and/or their PR agencies in Asia.
☞ Some of these items might belong to their stylists and they're just borrowing them for photo-ops. I'm sure that there are some cray-cray fangirls that stalk the boys and record what they wear each time they go out. I don't really look for those photos, so to me, it looks like there are certain items that get worn only once and then are never seen again because they belong to the stylist or are on loan. Plus, does anyone really believe that Yoseob (who's parents run a restaurant) would drop over $1,000~$2,000 USD on a bunch of jackets? Would he really purchase the NIKE x Cassette Playa jackets in different colors? o___O
☞ Presents from family and fans. Junhyung's parents love their little boy because they dropped some serious cash on his Eastpak x Raf Simons bag! Yoseob's cool Eastpak backpack was a gift that his sister won in a contest. Before you ask why any fan would drop hundreds of dollars on an idol that they've never met, please take a look at the images below. I cut them for space, but THIS IS THE FULL IMAGE. Not only do they send them clothes and other gifts, but they feed them as well!
I love how Hyunseung took a pic of himself trying on those shoes! He knows they weren't cheap, so I think he took this selca to show his appreciation
I don't know if this is the work of one fan or a group of fans, but that pair of S/S 2010 Supra Skytop II's are MSRP $136 USD [You can buy them HERE]. The shirts retail around $30 and above. Also, don't forget that infamous fan that spent over $1,000 USD on a pair of limited edition Louis Vuitton sneakers for G-Dragon (I hope that GD at least sent her an autograph)! The fan(s) that bought Hyunseung those Supras, also bought him this military-inspired pink jacket. Again, Hyunseung wore it out and I think he did so to show how much he appreciated the gifts given to him from his fans.
