Интересно, сколько стоит вход в парк?

$20 pp a day, plus the car fee. All that on top of fuel (of which you spend a lot because of bad roads). And keep in mind that we're planning to visit over 100 parks on this trip...

Yeah, but the car fee and fuel you had to pay with even just Shurik riding in by himself.
$20 is higher than the $10 or $20 per car National Park fee here, but that's because the parks are heavily subsidized by the government. I guess I've visited 10 or 20 national parks total in my life, so the costs don't seem too high ;) Plus I always feel good about paying for national parks - at least I know the money is being put to good use!

Are there truly 100 national parks in South Africa (I think there's less than 50 in the US)?

more then 100 :)
and the parks there don't look like the money is going to good use...

Wait, why did they need the paperwork from you, but not from Shurik?

Shurik was driving coz he wasn't seen when I and Vova went to the office for a free permit. Therefore, he could drive through without any association to us.

Oh, I just wasn't sure why you got into the argument initially. I guess you were trying to get in without paying.
