Given Botswana’s tourist attraction prices, we’ve been watching our budget closer than usual, though I still didn’t think it would have come to dumpster-diving. $20 pp a day, plus the car fee. All that on top of fuel (of which you spend a lot because of bad roads). And keep in mind that we're planning to visit over 100 parks on this trip...

Yeah, but the car fee and fuel you had to pay with even just Shurik riding in by himself.
$20 is higher than the $10 or $20 per car National Park fee here, but that's because the parks are heavily subsidized by the government. I guess I've visited 10 or 20 national parks total in my life, so the costs don't seem too high ;) Plus I always feel good about paying for national parks - at least I know the money is being put to good use!

Are there truly 100 national parks in South Africa (I think there's less than 50 in the US)?

а сколько стоит car fee? Его, я так понимаю, платишь независимо от количества человек в машине. И какие часы нахождения в парке, если заезжаешь на 1 день - какой крайний срок выезда?

На Берегу Скелетов нам кстати негр-привратник выписал билет на 4 человека, притом что к нему в кабинет зашло пятеро ). На выходе также на это не обратили внимание.
