[The Major didn't think a damn think about eating mushrooms. Why should he? If this place decided it would provide produce, then he would gladly partake of it. Even if it was suspicious, he would do it in order to see what game the town might have come with this time ( Read more... )

[Standing on the sidewalk. ....okay. Well anyway. Time to do what he does best.]

They don't seem to be doing very well.

[The Major glances over at Johan, and there is no recognition at all in his eyes. The voice seems vaguely familiar, but the world he's found himself in is too strong.

He frowns, approaching forward.]

Save your blathering, Englishman.

[Yes, Johan. He's so far gone he thinks you're an Englishman now.

One arm moves towards the holster he has hidden from view in his coat.]

You nor any of your fellow Londoners will live to see the dawn.

[Johan just smiles.]

Won't we?

No. Not you, not any of the pathetic babes that make up your generation.

[He removes the gun and fires.

There is no way he was actually pointing at you. It sure looks like it, but dear God he somehow managed to hit the side of a building about forty, fifty feet to your left, Johan. You'd have to be the worst marksman in the world to screw up that bad.

P.S. The Major is the worst marksman in the world.]

You'll perish here. In the ruins of your in inadequacy.

I beg your pardon?

[The Major snatches at Warren's collar, attempting to move his hand to grab at Warren's throat as he speaks.]

Do you think I would let you snatch victory from me? My little pet traitor? Did you think that was something for you?

[ Whoa, whoa, whoa there. Warren jerks away- he'd gotten his defensive magic back ages ago, and it activates now, giving his speed and strength a slight boost. He also goes for his gun in the same motion, though he doesn't draw it yet. ]

What the hell are you talking about?

[A cackle, quick and mad as he goes for his own gun.

Not because he sees you going for yours, Warren. To him, it looks like you're preparing garrote wires.]

That. That body, that bringing you back to your prime. That was our gift, butler, our part of the Faustian pact we made.

Have you forgotten so soon? Are you that elated from your victory?

[The Major sneers, condescending. His laughter is a bark, more so than usual in its tone.

There's none of the cruel joy that's usually there. None of the Schadenfreude.

Just anger.]

No.

You are mine now, ours now, Angel of Death. Remember that.

You are mine.

And so how dare you reach so far out of your role!

[He laughs, chuckling slowly.]

Of course I can hear you. And, as always, you prove yourself a child.

Come. We still have work to do.

[Okay, it's not like this is entirely out of the ordinary, but he's going to jerk back in utter revulsion at being touched by the Major.]

Hands off!

[Oh okay then.

Just winding back for a backhand now, Doctor.]

Watch your tone, boy! Don't forget who gave you your fight!

[Stepping back.]

Dunno, what you're on about mate. You're off your rocker more than usual.

[A short, cackling laugh.]

Me? Crazed?

Oh, how funny that is to come from you, boy!

...Is it alright if I settle for killing you instead since there's no one else around?

[The Major's face stays flat for a moment.

And then jumps into a quick smile.]

Well. It would seem you've appeared sooner then I thought. Should you not be leading your forces yourself, Sir Hellsing?

[Moving to draw his gun now, Susan.]

I happen to be my own forces, actually.

[Well, this was highly unusual. Susan wonders if chatting up the Major is something she ought to take up as a hobby for whenever she happens to be bored out of her mind.]

And the correct title would be Your Grace, though given that you got my name wrong, I doubt you're going for accuracy.

[A laugh.]

Are you now? I suppose that's an ideal you of all people could perhaps claim, Integra. At least in part.

[Pointing his gun now.]

Draw your weapon. Draw your weapon, Fraulein. Protect your people and strike me down.
