Fourth of July....in my little town, fireworks have been going off for a good week. They are supposed to stop on the fourth..but you know how some people are. Make sure your pet has a quiet 'safe' place to be. (certainly my cats do...one, is never bothered by all those bangs, whizzes and such...the other has her hidey hole) Don't try to 'bring

Last year, I went to the 4th celebration up by the hospital with some friends. They had their dog with them, which I felt was a colossally bad idea, but she did alright. I just wish they'd have left her at home, or at the very least at my house with my dog. Needless to say, I won't be taking my dog out this year, I never have, I won't start now. I'm also in a neighbourhood that frowns upon setting off fireworks, but that doesn't stop the ghetto jerks from shooting their guns at each other. :( I feel bad for the animals, really.
