Or...here's a novel idea...COVER it while you're in danger of getting scratched!! I mean, if she signed a liability agreement, and works around kids...

Sheesh...and she sounds SO TOTALLY COOL how she brags about scaring the mother that she'd have to pay for it.

I am OMG so impressed.

hmm...nope, not ready to end the sarcasm yet. Maybe after I finish my chocolate ice cream.

I kept my tattoos covered nearly constantly while they were healing to avoid this very thing happening. If I was sleeping I had them exposed to let them breathe, but otherwise, I had clothes covering them so nothing bad would happen to them. Really basic idea and not that hard to do, especially if you're around kids.

My tattoo is on my upper arm, so it's normally covered by a sleeve, even while it was healing. But if you've got one that kids can reach, if you're around kids ALOT...

yeah, it's not rocket science.

Man...I want another tat bad, but first have to get my cartilage piercing replaced. (Had to take it out a month ago while in hospital for an MRI and it was barely two months old damnit)

lol is it just me or does everyone wanky person on the internets get discounted tattoos because they're ~friends~ with the artist?

I bought my artist video games in lieu of actually paying for the tattoo, but she was my best friend, so that was our deal. She knew she'd just buy games with the money anyways.

Me: "$70 for a game?? Geeze, Ava."
Her: "Heather, would you like to know how much ink is in your body?"
Me: "...Would you like the strategy guide too? They've got it right here."

LOL, actually, I have a 3/4 sleeve that was done for nothing... mind you, the tattooist was my boyfriend, so I think it would have been a little rude of him to charge me ;)
I did offer to pay something though, just because it's not his shop, we're using the premises etc. I guess all up I paid maybe $100?
The down side is we broke up just before it was completed and he wants to charge me full $ to finish it :(
(not happening atm, what with Uni fees, having a 3 1/2 year old etc etc)

Jerk! :P I get him wanting you to pay, some, but full price? That's just mean.
