Over in hip_domestics, asscerbic needs a new beverage suggestion. She's cutting back on the Diet Coke, since it's all unhealthy and contributes to metabolic disorder and the like ( supposedly anyway, what with all that new research). But she still needs a way to get the caffeine directly to her veins. She can't stand iced tea, can't drink iced coffee without adding ( Read more... )

Two words: caffeine pills. (Even though I hate them and will stick to my Pepsi . . . sweet diabetes.)

Sure doesn't.

It really doesn't in my dorm. Our "water" isn't so much water as this yellowish-brown substance that comes out of the tap. It scares me.

meh, i don't think a lot of people know as much about skin cancer as they think they do. one girl posted on AMA saying how she goes tanning and how she didn't want any shit for it because we're all going to die someday so who cares if you get skin cancer when you're old but there are huuuuge numbers of 20-somethings with melanoma. it's not an old person disease, at least not anymore. plus, even if you survive the melanoma, the resulting scar is often very large (my mom's is at least 5 inches long). i think if people knew that, they might not find real tanning quite as beautiful.

It's saved me a lot of pain too, I was the only one using 50 spf on my Puerto Rico trip . . . and the only one not peeling by the end.
