"How could you leave a hammer out where your 11-year-old could find it?"

I admit it. I laughed out loud at that.

I could have suggested www.babycage.net, sounds like that would be the better option.

Oh noes, defacing trees - next he'll be torturing small animals and burying them in the back yard. Some people just go too far...

I did laugh at the suggestion to beat his ass though.

Yeah really, I snorted at the "he hurt a living thing, he could kill it next!" thing. I highly doubt he was trying to hurt the tree so much as be interested in what was under the bark and how it comes apart.

I would guess that in a family that isn't too nature-oriented, a kid could easily get to that age without realizing it's even possible to hurt a tree. (Except by chopping it down or something obvious like that.)

I doubt an 11-year-old would even relly be able to wrap his head around the whole thought process of the tree being a "living" thing. To a kid, a tree's a tree yanno?

I'm so tired of hearing about her being disabled...

Is it old meme? I don't know her at all, I just laughed because she's soooo concerned about punishing him, but she can't actually, you know, WATCH him.

On Parenting101 is she is. Every time she posts something (usually about her bratty kids) she throws in the "I'm disabled" excuse.
