um, yeah. And if she's in that much trouble figuring things out, she really needs to seek out much better resources for assistance. =(

You can live in public housing with adopted children?

Why would they treat adoptive parents any differently from biological parents?

I kind of like the ideas that involve the kid, either the kid apologizing or the kid planting a tree. You break it, you own up for it and fix it. *shrugs*

Yep. Mom would have made me to that on top of spending the entire day in the garden with her.

I want to know what kind of 11-year-old thinks hitting trees with a hammer is fun. Shouldn't he have something else to do? That's just weird.

YES! Yes, he should.

Seriously. Like school, or an afternoon program if whatsherface can't be bothered to take care of him.

I'm really wondering what kind of upbringing he had, if he thinks it's acceptable to beat things with hammers.

Oh come on, we all knew that kid who was hammering nails into the coffee table. Doesn't mean he's a sociopath. Just get the kid some lumber and tell him to make a spice rack.

Because really, men don't enjoy circular saws and concrete breakers as adults because they're innocuous objects with specific jobs, but because they smash stuff or slice it to bits.
