Computer's mostly back together, but the router is sporadically going down, leaving me with no internet access - so I've had to actually write in what free time I've had between various and sundry Family Things and work and stuff. And so I finally finished that dream!fic I've been going on about for ages!

I am not sure how to feel now that I've ( Read more... )

Hmm, do you know, that's rather awesome. It's too late at night to be much more coherent than that, but I liked it. And since the Third Doctor has always been somewhere among my top three Doctors (usually tied for second), and I seem to have recently gone kind of bonkers for him all over again (such as trying to find everything done for him on YouTube), I thank you for writing him. :-)

Oh, I'm so happy you like it. :D I do write Three rather a lot, as he seems to be the Doctor whose voice comes easiest to me, and I have a lot of Meta Thoughts about his era and all. I've got a couple of more fics for him to finish up, too!

It falls into the "it's complicated and I really have to read it again" for me, but I loved it anyway. I adore the imagery.

Thanks! I'm glad the imagery worked, as I was worried there'd be too much of it.

...wow. The closest I've gotten to this is the line in my fic Liberation, "I can feel the tides of Time again, washing round me, changing their rhythm and pattern as they dance." That was the best I could do. You see it so much more clearly and vividly - I love the imagery of the fractals and lines, the way you paint them.

(Am I making any sense whatsoever?)

Wow, thank you! I'm really, really glad you enjoyed it so much, especially the whole thing about the fractals since I was really worried I'd tortured that metaphor too much over the course of the story. Thanks so much!

This is really really interesting, and I think I'm going to have to read it a few more times as well. I love the imagery, and the idea of the fractals. This is all just so fascinating.

Ooooooooooooh.

I love what you say in it about both relationships. And that the last line (even though it most likely refers to the Master's birthname) could refer to both relationships.
