The imagery in this is very clear, which is a feat considering that it's all mathematical and surreal. I also got a real flavor of body horror and surrealist shock movies-- probably because I knew you'd been watching that sort of thing around the time of writing this.

I love this line, which seems like the lynchpin of the fic: "There was a time, Doctor, when you dreamed in fractals."
This fic is about so many things, not just the relationships with Jo and the Master but also how the Doctor has been changed by and prior to his exile on Earth.... again, it's meta disguised as fic. Not odious, but clearly thoughtful. Very satisfying. ^^

Yeah, there was a lot of Dario Argento and Junji Ito in there, and originally this was going to be straight-up horror but then I realized I couldn't actually write that very well. But I'm glad that what I did put up made some sense!

The line about dreaming in fractals was the first thing I thought up of this fic! And I'm also really glad that the meta wasn't obnoxious or overdone; thank you for that. :D
