Yeah, I signed up to take that one too, because I figure your scores stay valid for a year or two I might as well take it before all the knowledge in my head atrophies. But still, more standardized testing, why. :(

Awwww doggie! Hello!

I find w/r/t your point 2, that sometimes it helps if there's a book that's been adapted for the telly or for a movie, because it does add to the visual references, and also, since there's a movieverse as well as a bookverse, 'canon' does become more nebulous.

I love 'odd friendships' (a pity we barely scratched the surface of Chantho's character in Who), and also like male characters who either don't know or give less priority to the rules. But yes, getting the Rules right in historical-set fandoms is tricky, and can be an unexpected back-button trigger for me when reading Holmes-fanfic, to name but one instance.

Now, you know what's bizarre, is that I have almost the exact opposite approach to religion. The things that bother you, I have no problem with and/or am indifferent to, whereas I keeled over in selfish horror at the notion of providing service to others. Together, we make one perfect Catholic!

On a brighter note, the narrated day in your dog's life is WONDERFUL. You should find a community to cross-post that too, because it's absolutely charming. Especially the "survey my domain and look majestic for a bit" part in between v. important naps.
