As to SG1 gen stories, I don't have the time to go and cull out the best of my recs, but anything I want to reread, I'll toss into del.icio.us (well, I do when I have time, at least). My recs:sg1 and recs:genfic tags have at least some crossover, and all my gen SG1 recs can be found here. Some of them may have undertones of ship, but they're primarily gen in content, or they wouldn't be tagged there. :)

On "curtain fic," I ran into the term in a survey of "what fanfic cliches have you written?" that celli linked to. Someone else hadn't known what it was, and had asked, and several people leaped to define it as stories of unalloyed domesticity (for example, buying curtains), particularly between characters in relationship. As you haven't heard the term either, I'm wondering whether that term may be limited to m/m fans (and they just didn't know it's limited to them), because the survey was heavy on the m/m cliches.
