SG1 Gen Recommendations?
My dear friend V. has been missing her beloved Stargate: SG1 a lot lately. A lot, a lot. To the point where she tried some of the professional novels -- which she can ill afford new just now -- and then asked after fanfiction for the first time.
I promised to ask you guys. Do you know of any high-quality SG1 gen to recommend to her? Or any reliable forums or established experts for the recommendation of SG1 gen?
She particularly asked for stories set post-series and/or post-movies. She wants to see the characters she loves continue on and push forward with their lives -- especially "the new people," as she calls them (I gather this means Vala plus other characters I don't know). Sam has been her favorite character, but she enjoys them all. She does not, she said, want to read stories that are primarily romance or what I've learned is called "curtain fic"; what she personally wants to read most are new adventures. She has seen every episode many times, but has never dipped one toe into the fandom before now.
Her birthday is next week. A link to a great SG1 gen story would be a magnificent present from you to her!
