I freaking love the idea of this thing. I do. It's BIG, it's FLAT, it's portable, it has wi-fi and an e-book reader and it's NOT A LAPTOP! It's what I've wanted to exist for years. Seriously, I don't think it's actually much of a step forward and I don't see why everyone else is so excited but it's just exactly what I want.* So

I'm thinking of installing Linux Mint, as apparently it is idiot proof, or Wubi. I'm just sick of Windows, really.

if your looking for something that require minimal fiddling then beware that although a lot of versions come with most of what you need, as soon as you start adding things you enter the world of WHY THE FUCK WON'T THIS WORK. I'm not well practiced with Linux but I've never found anything that hard to fix, it's just the time. Not great if you have a busy lifestyle.

Go for Wubi because it's much more fun to say and Mint will make you want ice cream or chocolate every time you see it.
