May Day in review

May Day is clearly a laid-back kind of event.  Well, unless you're a fighter, since it's Baronial Champs for light & heavy lists.  Since laid-back was what I needed, this was good.  A number of data points:

Signage?  What signage?  I found the building completely by accident.  Thank Dog I'd written the name of the building down or I'd still be ( Read more... )

I'm glad you managed to find us. We did see some signage at the entrance and near the building, but perhaps it wasn't visible if you came from the other direction.

Things were more free-form this year than some others...

Doh! I was out of it yesterday with allergies, too. Yes I'm still hoping to go Friday. I need to check back in with Aquel to see how he's feeling closer to Friday, so he can determine whether he is joining me (today is his first day back at work after surgery).

Sounds like a good plan! Here's the link for your edification. Although the concert is free, donations are welcome. :-) We can touch base later in the week to see how things are looking. I hope his first day back goes smoothly and isn't too tiring.

Excellent. I think he'll be up for it even after working that day, but yes, let's touch base in a couple of days.

I came from the other direction, and it wasn't 'til I turned around having made the full circle that I saw the sign. I didn't see one at the entrance, but maybe it was at the other entrance.

I think I'll like the fact that it's an event that morphs. Apparently, everyone else needed laid-back this year, too. :-)

I want to call them iSebastiani for some strange reason :)

I'm sorry I missed you (and the cupcakes of unknown ingredients).

Probably for the same strange reason that I kept looking at it saying, "there's something wrong with this..." ;-)

They're sorry they missed you, too, as am I! No worries--they'll definitely appear again at a potluck or the like. You never know--they could even turn up at a birthday party you were attending.
