Wow, so it's been awhile since I've really posted. It has dawned on me that doctoral school is kicking my butt. 'Nough said. Birdy was a flower for Halloween, and I her gardener. "terrible twos"

I regret to inform you that it has just begun. They say it is actually "terrible todlers," but from what I have seen in even the most mild mannered children, the tantrums, unexpected fits, and melodramatic meltdowns continue until... er.. um... some time in the 20s? ;-) I know I was a much worse 12 year old than 2 year old... luckily, my parents didn't have to deal with the 22 year old... :-)

I've heard tale of that... mostly I've heard that it's terrible threes instead. We'll see. I think part of it is that she's just been overtired... when you have to wake the baby up in the morning it's never a good sign.

Why yes, yes I am :D I'll be flying in of the 23rd of December and flying out again on the 2nd of January. Although I expect to be required to attend the requisite family functions I should have a good amount of time for hanging out with friends :D yay!

I try telling my kids (aka students) it's gonna get worse in college and you'd better be ready for it. I suspect they'll still whine at you or who ever they get. I think it is unspoken requirement of some students. They will whine about anything.

Yeah, the amazing thing is that the students doing the majority of the whining are my non-trads! Sometimes it just amazes me!
