It certainly has a better chance at being effective. I have to thank you for your advice, Elena. The cookies and chasing worked very well, though I fear I've developed a mild case of hyperthermia and everything that is valuable in the house is strewn across my carpet. A small price to pay, I suppose.

I can only hope. I don't think I will leave the kindest impression after all this is over, but at least it might spare a few children getting mauled by monsters.
