You know, I'm wondering if there is any connection between that American Theocratic fascist group The Family (the ones that helped steer the "kill the gays" legislation in Uganda) and these groups in Moscow.

The only reason I bring this up is due to the Family's tendency to sponsor radical conservative preachers from America to travel around the world and spread their message. There's this one crooked preacher (known for his exorcisms) who's exploits I follow and I recall he made a trip to Uganda several years before the story broke, and more recently I understood he made a trip to Russia, which makes me think he's at least in that circle of influence.

So I do wonder how much of a business America has in exporting homophobia around the world.

The Family has done missionary work in Russia, but honestly, Russian Orthodox Church is culturally conservative enough even without them (and it tends to be weary of Western churches)

I figured most of the problems in Russia were due to the fact that Russia is living under a thugocracy right now, but it sounds like some of the players on the stage of life there are not helping either.
