When Nadya met Cheburashka

I bought the first Cheburashka plushie in 2014. Ha. I think I may have seen this dubbed into Czech.

The Czech equivalent would be Krtek. Still an icon today, and even sold in stuffed form at the airport.

Since Czechoslovakia was part of the Soviet bloc, I wouldn't be surprised.

On the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen this one, which surprises me a bit, since some of the Czech stuff did make it up to Motherland back then. I looked it up on Russian Wikipedia, and it seems that at least some of the episodes were broadcast on "Spokoynoy Nochi, Malyshy" kids' show in the Soviet and post-Soviet era, so either I never caught those particular episodes when I was growing up or they didn't stick in my mind.

Either way - interesting. I'll have to look into it. I wouldn't be surprised if there are Russian-dubbed episodes of it online somewhere/

Oh, this one was EXTREMELY popular, when i was a kid. I kinda didn't like that it was "voice over", I wanted all the characters to speak Russian:)

A little bit different. Krtek had all these new stories about him i not every week, still often enough, as for Cheburashka, there were just a couple of books, later (I mean, years later) the other two were added, but that was pretty much it.
