Looking at the pictures, it looks like one of them put a jacket on the rail before they started screwing, so at least the girlfriend didn't have to lie on the cold rail. I don't know if the tunnels themselves are really that cold, but even if they are... I suppose with the possibility of getting caught and the thrill of doing something forbidden, they might not have cared.
