Last Saturday, Chicago Sun-Times published a story about a study of Chicago violent crime by Yale professor Andrew Papachristos. Nice write up! I like your analysis of different Chicago neighborhoods, even if the subject itself is a little saddening.

I've been meaning to ask, are you fond of any Chicago area photographers, specifically though those of shoot architectural work? If so you should look up Richard Nickel, Barbara Crane, and Bob Thall, all of whom photographed buildings for the Chicago Historical Society at some point.

Thank you. The subject is saddening, but at least the news are more good than bad.

I've been meaning to ask, are you fond of any Chicago area photographers, specifically though those of shoot architectural work?

I follow some Chicago architectural photographers/urban explorers on Flickr, but I haven't followed many prominent professional photographers. I know who Richard Nickel is, though - his was a subject of a freelance article I did last year (an article that ultimately didn't get published for several reasons)
