Just an interesting bit of news. Wizard Magazine put out its choices if they cast the upcoming Teen Titans movie. They suggested Jared Padalecki for Nightwing. This is an awesome idea and I was so excited to see his picture in the magazine. Let's hope the people casting the movie are paying attention.

Happy to explain who Nightwing is for those who ( Read more... )

Ewww. I hate almost all of these choices.
Donna Troy: Jessica Biel (She's athletic enough and has the Girl Next Door quality)
Starfire: Zoe Kravitz
Beast Boy: Ian Somerholder
Red Arrow: Elijah Wood
Raven: Christina Ricci
Cyborg: J. August Richards
Superboy: Jensen Ackles
Wonder Girl: ? Aren't she and Donna the same person? The hell? If we're going Super Girl I'd go with Hayden Panatierre
Tim Drake/Robin: Adam Brody
Impulse: Kyle Gallner
Terra: Michelle Trachtenberg
Ravenger: Belle Burr
Deathstroke: Daniel Craig
Nightwing: Jared Padelicki

There were a few that were ok but Jared is the best fit of all of them.
Wonder Girl and Donna Troy are different. One of the most messed up Origins is Donna's. They keep changing it - I couldn't tell you what the latest one is. But the one thing she is not is related to Wonder Woman.

Hayden is too short. I think she would make a better Terra and let Michelle be Wonder Girl

Ooh Christina Ricci as Raven - that's perfect!

Red Arrow is still Arsenal to me - He is one of my favorites but Elijah wood is too tiny. Arsenal is always portrayed as built like a brick house and tall. He's Nightwings best friend. Actually Jensen would be a good choice here.

Hmm, that's true, Elijah is tiny, muscular but tiny. Jensen would be great as Arsenal too, however ever since they started talking about the movie I immediately thought of Jensen as Superboy, he'd rock as Kon-El!

Well he was runner-up to Tom Welling for Clark Kent in Smallville. So I agree it could definitely work
