Got free tickets to see the Green Hornet tonight at the critics preview. I expected that it would be awful given the postponements and then being dumped in January but, much to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. It's not a great superhero movie like say... 3D can be awesome - Avatar being a case in point. It's actually a so-so movie but the wonder of it as a work of art (and it deserves to be elevated to that status IMHO) is how it draws you in and for two hours you completely forget you're in a cinema.

But glasses over glasses can be a right royal pain. Apparently they are working on a way around this - it's possible to buy prescription 3D glasses but currently the cost is prohibitive. With the advent of 3D TV it won't be long before it catches up.

PS Welcome back! I'm so pleased things are going in a generally better direction for you *smushes*

ETA:On a completely selfish note, I really missed my partner in crime ;-)

I agree about Avatar poor story line - I was bored to tears from the story and since I didn't see it in 3D i can only imagine that it did make the whole experience better.

I've heard about prescription glasses. I really hope that 3D TV does not catch on. I really couldn't see the benefit of 3D on a movie like Green Hornet.

So is it time to get back to our Richie/Abby collaboration

I want to see that movie too, eventually, I'll most likely wait and netflix it. And I totally agree that 3D is not worth the money on a good 90% of the films.

I agree. Movies are expensive as it is and the 3D doesn't seem to be worth it
