1)      I was assigned to read the Hobbit in 5th grade.  I still remember the model hobbit hole I built for my project.  But I didn't really get into fandom until I saw the trailer for the first movie.  It took my breath away.

I don't know why, but I liked Voyager. I guess the whole far from home thing got to me. My dad likes Deep Space Nine.

So do you like Eomer or Boromir or both? I enjoy Elrond and Glorfindel personally (and Legolas is a close second).

I think that you can write in the Lord of the Rings fandom. Just need to find a good storyline (and AU). If you want.

i just never connected with any of the voyager characters.

I LOVED Boromir. Eomer took over in the other two movies as the guy I loved once Boromir was dead.

As for Writing, I did have this one really cracky bunny that I may attempt some day, but I'll share the basics now.

In an episode of magnificent 7, Brad Dourif (Wormtongue) played a bad guy and John Cho (Sulu) was in it too. I had this crazy idea that Sulu and McCoy were on some weird away mission. Only McCoy is really an Immortal and he was Eomer and when they see Wormtongue, well wackiness ensues and of course the mag7 boys are in the middle of it. So it would be a LotR/MAg7/StarTrek reboot crossover - how's that for crack!?!

I have toyed with the Boromir immortality question, but I've never come up with a good story and I don't want to retell the movies with Boromir alive - it's been done to death. LOL

Karl Urban = HOT I will watch anything he's in. I was so happy when he got cast in Star trek! I want the next movie NOW!!

I never connected with any of the voyager characters - so i never could get into that show. i wanted to love Enterprise. Big Huge Scott Bakula fan from way back (Quantum Leap!!) and of course Trip but it was just bad...I mean 'OMG are you serious' bad

Star Trek wise I grew up with TOS, was impressed with Next Gen, didn't like DS9 much until S4 and fell in love with Voyager on the spot. Couldn't get past Sam Becket on a space ship enough to watch Enterprise at all. Oh and I also loved the reboot.

Don't watch CSI and have loved LOTR since I was 9 (when I first read it).

Oh and hit me with 3 if you're so inclined.
