Edward is distracted by the piano in the back room; this is well, for following the smell of dead flesh is probably not the best plan for the young vampire.

The older one however, follows the other man out to the roof access door and through it, clearing his throat to announce his presence.

After a properly uncharacteristic foot-shuffle, Carlisle, if they were in London, would probably check his watch here. As it stands, he looks up at the constantly-3 am sky before clearing his throat.

"I should probably head back downstairs."

"No, not a problem." A smile of Carlisle's own. "If anything, awkwardness is something with which I should probably feel most comfortable."

He turns back to the doorway, giving Edward a silent I just met the most interesting person -- before, "Good luck with your project. Let me know how it turns out, if we meet again."
