AUGH! I've been having an issue over the last few days of seeing things flitting around in the corner of my vision... Imaginary birds and spiders and whatnot... And OF COURSE the one time that I go "Pssh, imaginary spider, I shall ignore it", IT TURNS OUT TO BE A REAL ONE ( Read more... )

I've had that recently too. Except the mouse, of course, which is fucking real.

I figure it's either a bit of sleep deprivation, or else the spiders and mouse can, like, project their shadowy doppelgangers at us as part of their evil schemes to get our guard down and then run up our arms. O_O They could be using their pest-y powers for evil!

That sounds frustrating. They wouldn't be floaters by any chance?

Nah, I've definitely had those since I was a kid... These ones are much darker and move faster. I think I've been messing my brain up with screwy sleep patterns and making it get all over-enthusiastic about shadow recognition or something!

I'm usually the designated spider-get-rid-er in the house too! I'm just unduly alarmed when they decide to make mad dashes across my hands.

Which part, the wordcount or the actually liking some of my own stories? *g* Needless to say, I was re-reading instead of writing the things I'm supposed to be writing, as usual. X-D

horray for sleep-fuckery-induced hallucinations. I know aaaalll about those. except I was seeing and hearing people... birds would be less terrifying I think :x you and I seem to have the same opinion on spiders though. I don't hate them or anything. I just don't want them ON ME.

I've definitely had the people-voices one before, which is creepy as heck when you know you're alone in a place, so this is pretty darn mild. (Damned if I know where I first heard this, but I know a writer who used to call the zoom-y little hallucinations at the corner of your eye 'caffeine cats', which I just loved.)

Oh, spiders. You stay on the ceiling and I'll stay down here and we'll get along just fine. NO DIVE-BOMBING ME!

PS - I typoed 'bombing' as 'bombimg' and spellcheck wanted to turn it into "BUMBAG", what what what?! *dies forever*
