Back in Edmonton! Much nicer drive than last time, but augh, the weather. I suppose I should just settle in for snow until May at this point, huh?

Hope all the Canadians are having a good Thanksgiving and everyone else is having a decent Monday! ;-)

on the road again

Hayseuss, you Mooselandians get no summer at all to speak of, eh? THIS IS NOT NATURAL, PLZ NOTE.

That's the traditional joke... We get early winter, mid-winter, late winter, and two months of really bad skiing. (I did see a moose on the way up, oddly enough! Looked like somebody hit it with their car. D-:)

\o/ There's a reason so many of the world's best comedians come from Canadianania.

You probably should, yeah. Mom keeps texting and going "it's Minus 6. It's snowing" and I just stare at the phone thinking "and you want me to do what? You're the crazy who left the coast for MEDICINE HAT!"

And on that note, if I should happen to get to Medicine Hat this summer for a visit, I'm so talking you in to coming to meet me in person! 'cause you're in Calgary when not in school right? Substantially closer. But we'll see.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

Apparently it went down to -17 last night already. Whhhhhy???

Hell yes! It's weird... I've known you so long that I always forget I haven't actually met you in person yet. I have absolutely no idea where I'm going to be after I graduate though, alas. Shall migrate to wherever there's a job for me.

WTF, seriously? I thought it felt cold here last night but I bet you we were like, +5. -17 is unholy, especially in October!

The Rockies tend to be quite the road block when neither of us have any solid reason to go one way or the other and no money to do it with. Makes sense, go where the work is, definitely! And I shall, as always, be cheering you on! But if you're still in Calgary whenever I get to Medicine Hat next, we will have to at least attempt to plot something. Just keep in mind I don't drive - medical reasons. ETA: But hey, maybe if mom or Wendy want to go shopping in Calgary we could meet for lunch or something. We'll figure it out if/when it's actually happening.

*huge hugs*

Possibly...until we get to the Lindsey episodes. ;D

Is it really snowing there already? Ahhh, Halloween in the snow, I knew ye well.

You never knooow... I'm in a very snuggly feel-good pairing place these days. *G*

Snowing and snowing and icy wind! I was trying to take pictures of the icicles on the building across the way today. They're about as long as my arm!

You and your blasted snow! Everyone here has their panties in a twist about the possibility of RAIN.

GLAD YOU ARE HOME SAFE.

Welcome back!! *cheers*

I just discovered that Ms Atwood's german publisher will give away "Year of the Flood" as a free e-book in a certain timeframe!! I have to check it out. I'm not entirely convinced that's really free... *g* and of course I'll need the "real" book too one day, but hey, free! Timeframe is supposed to start in two days, for 24 hours. We'll see!
