Oh god, I have to be awake again in five hours!

Oh man... so some of you may already be aware that I unabashedly geek out over So You Think You Can Dance. Because these folks can dance, and the choreographers just seem to have a blast with them, and there are so many styles...

But I think I've got a favourite number right off the bat this year. Go watch the video. (Scroll down a bit; it's ( Read more... )

and the couple character deaths that I made quick and painless for my own peace of mind have turned traumatic on me

Ahahahaha ugh I know that one well.

True story, and one I was intending to make a post about but now can't be bothered with; writing on Thursdayverse has made me look at Musical Chairs with a rather jaundiced eye and look around for major characters to kill, people to heap emotional torment on, and viciousness to fit into things. Which is a shame, because that will make it less realistic, but awesome, because I apparently enjoy traumatising readers.

All the little things that I shied away from during the first attempt and sort of said "Yes, some awful thing happened here to explain Personality Quirk #462, but we shall be vague on the matter" are filling themselves in

NO CONTROL OVER OWN MIND; YOU ARE A REAL WRITER. <3

That makes me awfully nervous, since it's not as though you were exactly pulling your punches before! *G* (Although as someone who's previously responded to "You made me cry" feedback with triumph arms and cackling, part of me kind of wants to cheer you on in your quest to destroy us completely as well...)

(Listen, even if you were just being silly, you calling me a real writer is pretty much a highlight of my existence here. *cherishes* Thank you for that!)

Well, no, but most of the violence and torment was happening "off-screen" before. And yes, you're not allowed to talk after nearly inducing multiple heart-attacks with bloody Mikey/Pete fic OF ALL THINGS.

:P My opinion as always counts for sweet fuck all, but you definitely *are*. You think like one.

Oh man, I love So You Think You Can Dance. The crash test dummies were so odd, in a good way (as Wade Robson's routines usually are). And I love watching bollywood too. It just makes me grin because I don't know if there's a dance that looks more like sheer fun than that one. So bright and colourful.

Hurray for a fellow fan! (And good hearing from you in general too! *g*) Aw, I'm thrilled they're continuing to do the bollywood numbers... More international styles, I say! More! More!

SYTYCD!!

I haven't gotten to the top twenty yet, but we're working our way through episodes. (I am gleefully pleased that you follow...err, wait, is there a simultaneous Canadian version?) Also? Mia Michaels must be cast to the ends of the Earth someday never to choreograph again. *solemn nod*

Whoo, fellow fan! Most excellent! This season seems weirdly high quality.

There is indeed a Canadian equivalent, but they run it when the Americans are in off-season so they don't overlap. We know when not to compete for viewers, yo. ;-D (Mia Michaels' stuff is so hit-or-miss with me! I do love that new choreographer they just got last season though, the gal with the dark mohawky hair and the vests.)

Yeah, did you see that professional ballet guy? Super talented, of course. I was surprised they let him compete.

Ahhhh. Smart! (She just makes me cringe when she talks and when she does those super personally emotional pieces...and other people are forced to critique them...It's like critiquing someone else's memory/experience. I don't know how to quite explain it. She just irks me. I love that new gal too! Sonya? And Tabitha & Napoleon! They're awesome. And I thought some of the guest choreographers that they brought in last year who were previous competitors-- they did pretty damn good.)

(Psst, will you be up for some quick betaing later possibly? I hate to shove this stuff on you last minute...)

The fellow that they couldn't let in because of his contract with the ballet company? Man, I was definitely impressed with him.

(A very good point. There've been a couple of choreographers who've done super personal pieces like that, and it's almost a gimme for the dancers who get it, isn't it? Sonya, that's it! I'm so glad it's a new season... Dancing With The Stars is a tragically weak substitute.)

(Better believe it! I'm caffeinated and ready to rock any time you are! If you give it to me at any point this evening, I'll send it back no later than 12:00 my time. After which point, I shall be sleeping. *g*)
