HI, WELCOME TO THE MORAL LOW GROUND.apiphileFebruary 22 2009, 17:07:25 UTC
(the ‘someone’ being Frank, and the ‘something’ also being Frank)
Disturbingly, this was the SECOND time I yelped with laughter.
Frank had developed this weird fixation with leaping on people while they were sleeping, just to see what they would do.
HORRIBLY IC. HORRIBLY.
Of course Bob had his arsenal of scary nerve-pinches and other mysterious methods of making Frank beg for mercy. (Sometimes Mikey wondered why a smart guy like Bob hadn’t figured out that it only made him the most favored target of Frank’s leaping…)
I love you. I love you so much. I love you thiiiiiiiiiiiis much. More than Bob loves his dogs. Possibly.
Also wicked observation, I can somewhat see Mikey taking that approach (go on, Ms. Older Sister, tell me that's not real life reference you used there. ;)).
Lovely weather here in the low grounds, innit?strangecreatureFebruary 22 2009, 17:43:48 UTC
*happy flail*
You win the 'Most Gratifying Feedback' award for the day. The shiny tiara, it is yours! Seriously though, thanks so much... I was kind of humming and hawing for a few days about whether I was actually going to post this or not, as I still feel like a tragic n00b.
Mwuahaha, you picked up on the Frank/Bob-ness, did you? Eeexcellent! *basks in the love*
go on, Ms. Older Sister, tell me that's not real life reference you used there.
I shall neither confirm nor deny having forced little sister to deal with various "You're her sister? Seriously?" comments while we were in the same school. *shifty-eyes*
Acclimatise. There needs to be breathplay fic. I'm just sayin'.apiphileFebruary 22 2009, 17:48:18 UTC
>:) IT IS SUNDAY. I gobble up fic posts like a monster and this is exactly the right length.

SHUT UP AND POST MORE FIC.
you picked up on the Frank/Bob-ness, did you?
Woman, they are my cast-iron OTP. I could pick it up even if it wasn't freaking there. I WOULD MAKE IT BE THERE. But I am wicked pleased that you stuck it in there as a D/s thing especially. Mmmmmmyyyyyy needs, you pander to them.
Awww. It's weird, nearly all my friends are either The Oldest Sibling or The Only Child. :) I guess youngers tend to be a little too cautious for my liking.
YOU ARE ONE OF US NOW (if I ever finish my own fic.)
This is seriously very cool. It feels in character, it feels calm, it takes the bit of the fandom stereotype before it's really a stereotype and uses it - Mikey being quiet but normal rather than quiet and weird, Frank being bouncy and annoying but not following through by immediately sticking his hands down Mikey's pants - AWESOME.
Also, yes, hello, OF COURSE I was looking. Very nice, and a very interesting dynamic to set up, particularly in such a short vignette.
I am here because apiphile said so, and IT WAS WORTH IT.
(the ‘someone’ being Frank, and the ‘something’ also being Frank)
HA, YES.
I love this as a character study, it makes a whole heap of sense to me that Mikey's quieter, more cautious approach to everything is a direct result of watching Gerard growing up.
ALSO: Sometimes Mikey wondered why a smart guy like Bob hadn’t figured out that it only made him the most favored target of Frank’s leaping…)
Thanks so much for reading and commenting! Glad it was worth the trip!
It's funny, because I honestly hadn't thought of this as a character study until you folks started saying that. And if I was smart, I'd just pretend like I meant for that to happen the whole time, eh? Ha!
(I defy anyone to have read the Bad News 'verse and not have Bob/Frank lurking around in the back of their thoughts forevermore. *g*)

Thanks so much, and I'm thrilled you enjoyed it! (I was concerned it would read as watered down, so 'calm' is incredibly gratifying feedback. :-))
Ahahaha... yup, 600-ish words and it's already headed in a definite Frank/everybody direction, isn't it? Poor Frank! X-D
